Comment tuer un monstre

Barbara et son demi-frère Colin passent les vacances chez leurs grands-parents qui vivent dans un immense manoir à trois étages, isolé, lugubre et délavé, perdu au milieu des marais. Il s'y passe des choses étranges. Barbara entend des râles et des grognements sourds s'échapper d'une pièce du troisième étage, au fond du couloir, fermée à clef...
